Trace is a casual platformer where you draw your own path through levels by using the touch screen to draw platforms to navigate past obstacles to reach the goal at the end of each level. Sounds simple and on first glance that is what this game is all about simple game play and simple graphics but this game is fantastic and free too. We have all seen great looking games with fantastic visual but not enough time spent on the actual game, will this one is the opposite.

If your interested in the Blackberry Pearl 8220 flip then you should check out Mickey Papillon’s review from The Cellphone Junkie. The Pearl Flip comes with the latest 4.6 version of the Blackberry OS.  The new version is really fast to use and redesigned icons make more sense than 4.5 and earlier software.  Along with the standard applications comes Word To Go, Sheet To Go and Slideshow To Go from Documents To Go.  These applications allow you to open and view your Word, Excel and Powerpoint files. Coolsmartphone have got hold of the new HTC Touch 3G and posted a couple of videos to see what this device is all about. The videos will give you a tour around the handset, a look at the GPS in action, Opera browser, TouchFLO interface, where the SIM and microSD cards live and a lot more. We have them right after the break and it does look like a nice device if your after something smaller than the Touch HD.

The Xperia X1 is a new phone from Sony Ericsson powered by Windows Mobile 6.1. It has amazing build quality and is smaller than I expected from seeing the press shots and other reviews. For me this device is for keeps and I am very happy for it to replace my HTC Touch Diamond and keep me away from iPhone 2G.

Slashgear have got their hands on the HTC Touch HD and posted a great video review which we have below, also they have done a questions and answers section too where they have confirmed that this phone will not have TV Out. Unfortunately it does not have the chipset required for TV Out so bad news on that one. You can see the video after the break with some of he more interesting questions.

Got my Xperia X1 yesterday and this is my phone to keep for daily use not just a review unit. First thought when opening the box and seeing it? “Smaller than I thought!” It’s no bigger in footprint than my Touch Diamond and not that much thicker (I have the HTC extended battery). It’s very well proportioned which was a nice surprise, the other thing that hits you is the build quality, we are in iPhone 2G territory here for quality.

Paul over at Modaco had posted a detailed review of the Xperia X1, overall it is a very positive review, to quote Paul “WiFi works great, GPS works great, effectively everything seems to work as described and I can’t honestly off of the top of my head think of any specific disappointments in the software. Yes, it’s standard WinMo, but if you’re comfortable with that (and on this kind of device with a hardware keyboard it works particularly well) then you’ll be satisfied. This is one device I have been waiting for, for what seems like years to get my hands on. I have trusted Palm for many years to deliver reliable, if a little dated devices. I had half expected Palm to deliver something irritatingly limited this time around with little to wet the palette. Thankfully I was wrong.

We have talked many times on the blog and podcast about the problems with the iPhone 3G no longer charging through the old Firewire charging pins and the trouble this caused with iPod docks but most commonly with car integration kits like the Dension range. Well we ordered the Cable Jive charge converter and tested it out and have done a video look at it in action. You can see the video after the break and see the results of the tests.
