This is one device I have been waiting for, for what seems like years to get my hands on. I have trusted Palm for many years to deliver reliable, if a little dated devices. I had half expected Palm to deliver something irritatingly limited this time around with little to wet the palette. Thankfully I was wrong.

The iPhone has taken a lot of criticism lately on poorly worded advertising and rightly so, we have stumbled across a video comparing the HTC Touch Pro and the iPhone browsers rendering a few different pages over WiFi and the iPhone definitely does the better job. The video shows the Safari browser loads and completes every page well before Opera 9.5. Check out the video after the break to see the differences.

My good friend David Ciccone managed to get his hands on the Treo Pro which we discussed on the first episode of the Mobile Tech Addicts Podcast and he has posted an unboxing video showing the new Palm Treo Pro along with a good look at the outside features of this great looking handset. We are talking to Palm and are very hopeful of getting hold of one of these for ourselves to review, it looks like this will be released in the UK at the beginning of September and if it is as innovative and stable as the Treo 750V then Palm may be on to a winner. Vodafone are now showing the HTC Touch Pro as coming soon in their business section with a launch date of this month. The HTC Touch Pro has all the elegance and magic of the HTC Touch Diamond and adds a five row QWERTY keyboard for the ‘heavy messaging’ user. The HTC Touch Pro also comes with added flexibility of a MicroSD slot, which when combined with the optional accessory of the TV out cable means that the device can swap between slide presentations, music library, video player with ease. Palm today officially announced the Treo pro, Not really a great surprise but at least it is now official. As we thought it does have a 320 x 320 touch screen, HSDPA, WiFi, GPS and more importantly a 3.5mm headset jack and a massive 1500mAH battery. Well done Palm on that one. This one is destined for a Vodafone and O2 launch next month in the UK as well as Sim free version. Full specifications, PR Video and pictures after the break.

Early this morning, Palm released a couple of official press photos of the Treo Pro along with a short video. The company didn’t reveal a whole lot of information other than the following, the Treo Pro smartphone features a one-touch Wi-Fi button, GPS, Windows Mobile 6.1 and a high-resolution flush colour touch screen. The big brother of the HTC Diamond has arrived and we are expecting great things. Its been called a brick by many but if this device lives up to expectations it could be the best Windows Mobile device around. When the Diamond was launched we reviewed it and it was not a great experience, since then a couple of Rom upgrades have made it a new experience and a well received device. Let us hope that HTC have this one right straight out the box, lets find out. Read on for the full review.

Pictures have surfaced today reported to have been leaked by a Palm training site of the much rumoured Palm 850 series GSM device. This is the GSM version of the CDMA only 800W but does seem to have had a bit of a makeover. I really like the black colour scheme of this phone, makes it look very professional. Managed to get my hands on the much anticipated HTC Touch Pro today and I have had a few minutes to put together a quick video look at the hardware and software of the device and I have to say so far I am very impressed with the usability and overall speed of the TouchFlo UI. I will be writing up a full review, but before I do I will be using the device for a few days to make sure I get a good feel for it. In the meantime check out the video after the break.

The guys at Phonemag have managed to get their hands on the latest HTC handset the HTC Touch Pro, they have quite a few images and a great video showing off the device. They met HTC at an informal get together to take a look over the device. For those that don’t know, the HTC Touch Pro is similar to the HTC Diamond with a few changes mainly a slide out Qwerty keyboard and expandable storage. Video after the break.
